18th Century George II veneered walnut and gilt wall mirror

Rare 18th Century George II wall mirror with walnut veneer fretwork frame and gilt detail to the inner frame and Hoho bird carved in the center top. The original mirror plate is in excellent condition.
A fantastic decorative item in truly original condition.
The Hoho bird is a Japanese version of the mythical Phoenix and was frequently used in Asian decorative arts and motif in Rococo and Georgian decoration.
Overall 99cm high x 48.5cm wide. Mirror measures 54cm high x 33.5cm wide.
