Rare & very large 18th Century George III statuary white marble fire surround, the legs and frieze are inset with book-matched panels of Sicilian jasper. The legs terminate with beautiful corbels carved with acanthus and anthemion detail, and the frieze is decorated with finely worked scrolling acanthus carving. In the manner of Sir Henry Cheere. Circa 1780.
