A large and tall antique Art Nouveau Edwardian cast iron and tiled combination fireplace grate. The deep sweeping frieze is centred by a tall highly stylised flower, synonymous with the Art Nouveau style. Below the frieze is a polished brass canopy also in the Art Noveau style Despite its large size, because the tiles run parallel to the wall as opposed to the more commonly found fireplaces where the tiles are chamfered inwards, this fireplace doesn’t need a large fireplace cavity in the wall. The beautiful original Art Nouveau fireplace tiles are priced separately and can be changed if required.
English. Dated 1900-1905.
Finished with traditional black grate polish. Pictured with a set of original antique fireplace tiles, these tiles are priced separately and can be changed if required.
