A beautiful late 19th century Arts and Craft cast iron bedroom fireplace. To the frieze, a songbird and butterfly are perched amongst branches bearing berries. Framing the slow arched aperture is basket weave design interspersed with decorative discs. Designed by Thomas Jeckyll (1827-1881). Circa 1880.
Finished with traditional black grate polish and complete with a new steel ash cover.
