A wonderful mid 19th century polished cast iron fireplace fender in the style of Thomas Hope. With two cast brass Sphinx on raised plinths to the returns, a reeded square brass rail on three finely cast brass supports decorated each with a pharaoh’s mask. Exceptional quality throughout.
