Substantial 19th century Victorian slate fireplace surround

Stock Number: 17-930

A substantial original Victorian slate fire surround with bracket corbels above plain jambs terminating in reeded detail. The frieze benefits from a fluted panel with floral detail to the centre to imitate fine inlaid woods. The whole surround retains its original wood gain paint effect finish, still in very good condition with only minor and expected wear from time and use. Although if this isn’t to your taste and you would prefer to see and appreciate the natural slate beneath we can strip this and finish the slate.

Pictured with an original cast iron and tiled grate priced separately.
