Large late 19th century Arts and Crafts wall lantern. The wall mounted bracket is decorated with wrought iron scrolls and applied hammered brass leaf detail. Further scroll work is found above the original gas tap and behind a pierced brass apron at the base of the lantern. The original glass cylinder is secured by brass and steel bands and is crowned with a conical metal roof and brass clover, which can be removed to change the bulbs. Sympathetically restored and converted to electric. Beautiful patina, showing character and beauty in its age and imperfections. Rewired and tested. complete with later oak patras.
